Hello parents,

Please do not forget to pick up your child’s belongings tomorrow, June 9th between the hour of 9:00am to 10:00 am.  Please stay in your car and follow the traffic through the kiss and ride.  Some one will ask for your child’s name and their teacher’s name.  Then the items will be brought out to your car.  I hope you have a fantastic week and, please take a few moments to lookover this week’s lesson plans.  The team will be sending out some support documents by Friday for some fun summer ideas.

Hello, my name is Lori Clack.  I have been working at Kilby Elementary School for 6 school years.  I moved to Virginia in 2014 from the United Kingdom where I was teaching kindergarten and 1st grade in the British school system.  I have been teaching young children since 1996 and graduated with my bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education (IECE) at Western Kentucky University.  I’m currently working on my master’s degree in Special Education for Students with Disabilities who Access the General Curriculum.

I have been fortunate to have been able to teach in several countries including England, South Korea, and Japan.  I have been married for 32 years and my husband and I have raised 6 children.  We are proud grandparents of 4 boys and 1 dog.  I love working with children and have a special place in my heart for children with disabilities.  Everyday my students surprise me with their wonderful ability to overcome obstacles.

I am proud to be a member of the Kilby team.  All the teachers at the school truly care about the students and the families.  We all work together for the child and help each other with struggles.  We all ROAR for our student’s success.   Go Tigers!
