Kilby students reside in the communities of Marumsco Village and Marumsco Hills.
Kilby Elementary houses an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program and offers extended day kindergarten to its students. Kilby students may participate in SOL remediation which is offered during the second semester of the school year.
Literacy Events are scheduled throughout the school year and all grade levels are invited to various events.
Kilby fifth graders can serve on Safety Patrol and all students enjoy participation in Reading is Fundamental (RIF). The school boasts an active SCA and Reading Buddies program in which fourth and fifth grade students read to their first grade partners.
Other activities will be scheduled during the school year. Information will be sent home at the appropriate time.
Kilby parents can join the PTA and serve on the Advisory Council. Parents are needed to pop popcorn on Friday mornings so that the students can purchase a bag of popcorn. Popcorn is $0.25 a bag.
