Welcome Back to the 2026-2027 School Year!

We are looking forward to welcoming our students back soon and reconnecting with our amazing Kilby community.

As we begin the 2026-2027 school year, we are excited to launch our theme, "The Power of We: Collective Commitment, Extraordinary Impact." This theme reminds us that when students, staff, families, and community members work together toward a shared vision, we create extraordinary opportunities for success. It is through our collective commitment that we can make a lasting impact on every child's educational journey.

This year, our work will align with the PWCS Elevate 2030 Strategic Plan, which emphasizes four key commitments, including Learning and Achievement for All, Positive Climate and Culture, and Family and Community Engagement. These commitments reflect our dedication to ensuring that every student has the support and opportunities they need to thrive.

At Kilby Elementary, we will focus on:
Increasing student achievement in reading, mathematics, and science by providing engaging, high-quality instruction and targeted support for all learners.
Promoting a positive climate and culture by improving attendance, particularly for students experiencing chronic absenteeism, and maintaining high expectations for every student.
Strengthening family and community engagement by creating meaningful opportunities for parents and caregivers to partner with us in supporting student success.

We believe every child can learn, grow, and achieve at high levels. Together, we will foster a school environment where students feel challenged, supported, valued, and inspired to reach their full potential. By working as one team, we will continue building a culture of accountability, excellence, and belonging where every individual contributes to our collective success.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We are grateful to be part of such a wonderful community and look forward to working together to make this school year one of learning, growth, accountability, and success for every child.

Sincerely,
Chanel Evelyn, Principal
